Goodbye Christmas tree!
One of the saddest times for me is the end of Christmas. Christmas decorations and putting away the Christmas tree empties the home. Without it, everything is so bleak.

We decorate the house for the whole Advent season. By the first sewing day of Advent, not only is the wreath done, but garlands are put up and strings of lights are strung along the windows and doors. This Advent season I had to face many challenges as we spent Christmas in a new place. I have been diligently collecting Christmas decorations for the past almost 20 years. Many were handmade, many were given to us by relatives and friends, and of course we always took care of them so that they would beautify our home for the coming year. This season everything was turned upside down. Most of the ornaments we were able to bring were in bulk to take up as little space as possible and unfortunately several ornaments and snow globes broke.
The Christmas tree tried to do the impossible again this year: to make up for the bitterness of the past many months. It is not his fault that he failed. Every night the Christmas tree, beautifully glittering and decorated, tried to light up the room and bring a little magic into our lives. I was not receptive to its glow. I can only hope that in the next 11 months, things will get better and we can finally be happy. I hope that finally after many many years of mental abuse we can finally be free and happy.
Goodbye Christmas tree. See you soon.
