Back to School After Winter Break

2025.01.09

After an almost 3-week-long winter break, we cheerfully set off to school with a sled. The abundance of snow makes our little world magical. Zola was eagerly awaiting her return to school to reunite with her many friends.
Interestingly, here school starts precisely at 8 o'clock—literally. The school doors only open when the bell rings at 8, and until then, the children play outside on the huge snow piles pushed together in the yard. Play is an essential part of a happy and balanced childhood. I'm grateful we can be here.
This year, I also went back to school myself. I enrolled in an adult education program where I will primarily study the language and other fundamental subjects like mathematics, English, and economics. I still don't know what I'll be when I grow up, but one thing is certain: we have countless opportunities here. We've found our place.
